Terms & Conditions
These terms are an agreement between you and Gooder Apps ("we," "us") covering your use of the Outtie app and outtieapp.com (together, "Outtie"). By creating an account or using Outtie, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Outtie.
1. Your account
You need to be at least 13 years old and able to enter this agreement. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email; you're responsible for keeping access to that email secure, and for what happens under your account. One person per account.
2. Your content
What you put into a trip — messages, photos, plans, expenses, flight details — is yours. You give us the limited license needed to store it, display it to the members of that trip, and operate the features you use (for example, pinning a photo to the trip map or splitting an expense you filed). That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where crew members' shared records (like a settled expense) reasonably need to survive.
You're responsible for what you post. Don't post content that's unlawful, infringing, or abusive, and don't add people to a trip to harass them. We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
3. Trips are shared spaces
Everything in a trip is visible to that trip's members. Organizers can remove members and delete the trip. Leaving a trip removes your access to it; content you contributed to shared records may remain visible to the crew.
4. Money between crew members
Outtie's expense and settle-up features are bookkeeping between you and your crew. We are not a bank, money transmitter, or party to your payments. "Mark paid" records that a payment happened outside Outtie; it doesn't move money. Optional card payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's terms. Disagreements about who owes what are between crew members — the math is deterministic, but the dinner was yours.
5. Travel information
Flight statuses, gates, delays and live positions come from third-party data providers, and place information (hours, ratings, photos) comes from Google. Both are provided for convenience and can be wrong or delayed. Always confirm flights with your airline and reservations with the venue. Outtie is not a travel agency and doesn't make, hold or guarantee bookings — a reservation in Outtie is a record of a booking you made elsewhere.
6. Location sharing
Location sharing is optional, scoped to a trip, and controlled by you. Don't rely on it for safety-critical purposes.
7. Acceptable use
- Don't break the law, or use Outtie to plan anything unlawful.
- Don't probe, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
- Don't send spam through invites or forwarded-email features.
8. The service
Outtie is under active development. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We may discontinue Outtie entirely, in which case we'll make reasonable efforts to give you a chance to export your memories first.
9. Disclaimers
Outtie is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that travel data will be accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Gooder Apps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, missed flights, failed reservations, or disputes between crew members. Our total liability for any claim relating to Outtie is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Termination
You can stop using Outtie and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content license wind-down, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located there.
13. Changes
We may update these terms; if a change is material we'll update the date above and say so in the app. Continued use after a change means the updated terms apply.
